Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Official Synopsises:

Part One!: Twilight's brother, Shining Armor, is marrying Princess Celestia's niece, Cadence.

Part Two!: Twilight discovers a dark secret about Cadence right before the wedding.


We split this up differently than other 2-parters have been split (from my understanding). Like I was saying to Sabrina earlier, we were all doing the types of sequences we're best at. The result is something we're all pretty proud of. :D

I have to ask: I know Rebecca Dart was the one who came up with the insect design for Chrysalis, but were there any notes on the "base form" of her changeling army?

I don't know actually! I would speculate that she talked over the design with Jayson or Wootie before sitting down to draw the characters if that's what you mean.

Oh, I just meant if there were any notes in the script. After all, given Ms. Dart came up with the insect motif, there had to be some communication in order to make the final "drone changeling" design look so similar to Chrysalis; I was just wondering if the script said anything about what the "grunt" changelings looked like in their own form.

This finale was everything I hoped MLP would evolve into since my first becoming a fan, I thank you and the rest of the team for making my most favorite pair of episodes out of the entire series, it was truly wonderful (I listen to "this day aria" on a continuous basis, I can't get enough of it lol, and BBBFF was a very relaxing, heartwarming piece, and easily became my second favorite song)

PS - I noticed a theory on the top comment of Youtube with "This Day Aria".

[They describe the moment when the camera pans up and turns to show Fake Cadance's silhouette/shadow on the ceiling]

And one of the aforementioned chandelier's bulbs covers a small bit of her horn, making it look like it has a bite or gnarled hole taken out of it....That isn't Cadance's shadow. It's Chrysalis the Changeling Queen's."

Coincidence? Or did you put that in there as a bit of (literal) foreshadowing? :)
