Just random doodling again. I don't draw the Eds *quite* as often as I used to but I still do. The Eddy on the left in pencil is the first version.. you know the type of drawings where you just let your mind wander with the pencil. The colored/inked one is just me trying to push the same pose. I've grown to not like totally white backgrounds.. That's my excuse for never erasing the background noise.

Feels more interesting.

I looooooove Eddy! :D He comes off as a horrible person to most people (and if I did ever meet such a person in real life I would probably NEVER like them), but he's such a tragic character due to the harassment of his brother.

The EEnE movie gave me a whole new appreciation for Eddy's character. I've always been a Ed fan and I too find Double-D adorable, but Eddy was always the one I couldn't quite grasp. After seeing the movie, I feel like I finally understand how he 'ticks'.

Anyways ^^;, I LOVE this Eddy drawing! I really like how you show what the first drawing looked like and how it progressed into the finished product. For some reason, I love the way you drew the eyes. So sly and mischievous.^^ It's got great balance too.

Okay, I'm done rambling. ^^;

You know, the first hint I got at understanding Eddy came from the first "end of the series" ep of season 4, Take This Ed and Shove It. Used to think he was a bit of a dick, since it's somehow easy to lose the idea that he's only a 12-year-old boy. Of -course- he's feisty and greedy and obnoxious. Loads of kids are.. and I guess it was the level to which we saw him so horrified to grow up that I finally "got it". In the movie, of course, it was nice to see him let his guard down not only to his fellow Eds, but to the other kids in the cul de sac.

Ha ha ha and thanks. XD Underneath everything, Eddy's still a little devil.

Haha, I guess working on the show lets you get to know a character faster then if you were just a fan, like me. ^^

True, Eddy wouldn't be Eddy without the bouts of greed and shouting. However any good character has muti-levels traits, am I right? And like in any case, it would take a particular situation or event to have those walls come down and expose a more 'vulnerable' side to that character.

In my opinion, compared to Ed and Edd, Eddy's 'emotional walls' took the longest to crumble, and I think we finally got to see that in the movie. Of course, there were times during the series where we see him break down, but just enough so that he snapped right back to his normal self.

I'm a sucker for seeing the more 'human side' of any character. ^^;
